Organisational Structure

The agreed purpose of the Devon Economic Partnership is to provide leadership and to enable Devon to speak with one voice on key economic issues and priorities. The Devon Economic Strategy, produced and delivered by the partnership, sets the overall direction and provides a framework for the development of Devon's economy up to 2015.

The organisational diagram above describes visually the way in which this is achieved. The partnership brings together a wide range of public, private and voluntary organisations and agencies to focus on the issues at hand. The priorities identified by the Devon Economic Strategy are delivered by members and by Operational Groups when considered necessary.

Collaboration is also sought from other groups that share our objectives, while the Executive Group provides leadership for the partnership.

The Devon Economic Strategy has also been prepared within the context of a wide range of strategies and policies at a national, regional and local level. The Devon Economic Strategy seeks to highlight those matters best tackled on a Devon wide basis. This Strategy also aims to influence other strategies. It feeds into the Economy Themes of both the Devon Sustainable Community Strategy and Local Area Agreement. These strategies are overseen by the Devon Strategic Partnership.
