This is a new area of work, which to date has considered current interventions, eg investment in the University of Exeter Innovation Centre, partnership working to develop a Science Park. Whilst these activities support the urban areas and have the capability of engaging in and supporting wider networks, they do not easily support the rural area. A model for rural Devon has been identified as a requirement and this work is now being progressed through the Task & Finish Group with a view to influencing the next Devon LAA.
